Temple of Zeus, Euromos by Aidan McRae Thomson on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
The Temple of Zeus at Euromos is an impressive sight dating from the reign of Emperor Hadrian (118-32 AD) and is the only substantial surviving monument from the ancient city of Euromos, which dated back to the 6th century BC.
This stunning Corinthian temple is one of the best preserved of it’s age, and yet is seldom visited, being passed over by most tourists in favour of some of the larger sites in the area, and thus stands in splendid isolation on it’s hillside, visible only to more observant passers-by on the main road north of Milas.
